publication in a journal?

The thesis I wrote for my masters program has picked up some interest by the chair of the education dept at the university I attended. She is asking me to try to get the piece published in a scholarly journal. I would like to do this as I feel it would be a great resume builder, but at the moment I am on maternity leave with my infant daughter. Is this something that I could do comfortably while on leave or is it too consuming a project? I have no idea how to publish a work and would like to know how involved a process this is.

  1. If I were you, I would approach some of the faculty at your college and ask for advice. They publish all the time, in fact, they have to in order to maintain their status as post graduate college instructors. I'm surprised they haven't already helped you out.
